Post Easter Shenanigans

How can you improve on a weekend with the lads on the South Coast? Well lets face it you can't. However you can do lots of other fun stuff. Exhibit A.) Supposedly I was feeling a little down and so Penny decided that she would cheer me up. So with Georgia they organised a dinner party for me and scrubbed up to the max. In case they ask i am feeling a little better, but sometimes still struggle a little. ;-)
Penny and Georgia
Of course the food did not magic itself onto the table. They worked very hard to get it there. And here is the evidence! Exhibit B.)

The great thing about easter is that all the students come back from other universities. At St. Aldates we have a group for them called Re:Uni†e. I help lead this with Laura Coe, Chris Smith and Louise Turner (yep Ed's sister!). Here are some of us after a service.

But the best bit was when Ed came down for a few days for a conference in Abingdon! How cool is that, praise God. We did lots of cool stuff. Including taking the girls (featured above) and my dogs for a night hike over towards Boars Hill from my parents house. Ed spotted an illigal bonfire destroying our precious atmosphere, well done him, but did absolutely nothing about it. What's going on there? Anyway, the following day we took the girls climbing but decided at the last minute to go punting instead! But the punting was closed and all that happened was that we spent 1/2 hour pacifying Penny in the pub afterwards. In the evening we went to Hannah Blackward and Helen Wilkin's birthday party in the Parish centre which was fab.
A nice photo :-)

Ed on the castle
The bouncy castle was excellent. Even if I look so camp it is unreal.

On saturday Ed and I went for a cycle to Abingdon on the tow path. It was a lot further than expected. Because it was a hot day by the time we reach Smarts fish and chip shop we were both dehydrated. (well i was anyway) and proceded to play some bad pool.
Back from a hard cycle

The following day Ed's sister was baptised. Hurray! and praise God!
